James Swingle works as a Trainer and Consultant. He offers a range of courses for businesses, as well as for individuals interested in professional and personal development, including Communication Skills, Consulting Skills, Project Management and Client Management.
Mr. Swingle was a senior manager for the financial industry in New York City, where he most recently directed the Project Management group for Reuters Consulting, overseeing an annual project portfolio of over $30,000,000. Mr. Swingle has broad
leadership experience and demonstrated client skills across the financial industry: supporting trading floors for the Union Bank of Switzerland and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce; consulting with Grant Thornton International and Reuters Consulting, and working on the product-vendor side with Reuters Risk Management Group. He has managed projects that successfully delivered systems responsible for handling cash flows of over a billion dollars a day. In addition to his extensive industry, personnel-management, and project-management experience, Mr. Swingle is a highly qualified professional educator. He was an adjunct professor for the Graduate and Undergraduate programs at Pace University, was responsible for marketing, selling and delivering training while a consultant for Grant Thornton, and taught the Consulting Skills Boot Camp for Reuters Consulting.
Mr. Swingle has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from The New School for Social Research.
Mr. Swingle is Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Noneuclidean Cafe, an on-line quarterly.
